Olive Rose Black Davison Vitez, 85, formerly of Volant and Meadville, died Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Grove City, PA.
Born August 28, 1927 in Parker, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur W. Black and Sydna M. (Fox) Black Holt.
Rose graduated from Parker High School in 1945 and then moved to Meadville where she worked for several years at the Viscos plant. She was a lifetime member of the Parker Presbyterian Church.
Rose married Richard E. Davison on July 25, 1954, and he preceded her in death in 1970. She then married Stanley Vitez on December 27, 1983, and he died in 2005.
Rose is survived by a daughter Kimberly Fujioka and her husband Kazu of Honolulu, Hawaii, and a son Fred Davison and his wife Candy of Franklin, PA. She is also survived by two grandsons, Justin Davison and Kazumi Fujioka, two granddaughters, Ashley and Heather Davison, and a great-granddaughter, Kendra Boling.
She is survived by four nieces, Diana Gonzalez, Marsha Black, Janice Fuellhart, and Jill Black, two nephews, Terry and William Black, and three cousins, Mabel Bryant, Donald Fox, and Raleigh Fox.
Along with her husbands, Rose was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, George A. Black and William L. Black
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, 20 Orchard Dr., Grove City, PA 16127. Interment will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Meadville.
The family requests memorial donations may be made in Rose's memory to the Activities Department at Orchard Manor, 20 Orchard Drive, Grove City, PA 16127.
