Mom and I used to sing while doing housework. She would turn the radio up high and we'd sing, "Trailors for sale or rent. Rooms for just 50 cents. Me or my ....King of the Road" She'd wash and I'd dry the dishes. We had an organ mom played songs she knew by ear and we sang along. The back porch was where we waited each afternoon for dad to return from work. We sat on the porch swing and pretended it was a train. Life was a joy with mom. She could create memorable moments out of nothing. I miss her! I learned those things from her. She was precious to me. The last time I saw her in 2012 she looked exactly the same as she always had. Mum. So grateful.

Rose was a lovely women with a warm heart. I will miss her dearly. I recently lost my own mother (august 6, 2012) and was saddened to hear the news of my stepmother. My condolences and prayers go out to her children and grandchildren and other famly members. She will be missed
