We are so sad to hear another great Bauer has left us. Unfortunately we were unable to make it down to be there in person. We will always remember all the long stories John, Paul, and Grandpa Dave would enjoy over breakfast. Rest in peace John.

We will all miss John, our favorite and intoxicating laughing uncle. Even though he kicked my Butt when I was young and I was full deserving it, I have very fond memories of our time together.

One particularly nice memory I have of Uncle John was when I took my dad ( his brother Rich) over to visit 6 years ago on Dad’s last visit to PA. We sat on the back porch and talked for quite a while about deer & bear & his property…. Dad ended up dozing off & Uncle John would just look over at him & grin & keep on going with his stories. That’s how it was with the Bauer brothers….just content to be together

I didn’t get to visit with Uncle John as much as I would have liked because I live in Michigan. One of my memories of Uncle John was hearing his Triumph motorcycle roar down Sawmill Road in my younger days when I was visiting my Grandma Theresa Gatesman, his godmother. Rest in Peace.
