For many years Mark made the United Way of Clarion County's Golf Classic a true success. As the event coordinator (and I never played golf) he was so patient with me. Mark would spend time setting up the event - organizing the hole contests, placing the teams, explaining the game ( why I never did get it) and standing by my side when I announced the wrong prize. He treated all of the volunteers and staff with respect. On and off the course I knew Mark would be there if I ever needed something. Sheila and Mark were like an extended family to the organization. We all will miss those good looking legs and we will all miss Mark as a friend. It is so rare to know a person like Mark. Myself, the United Way of Clarion and this community all benefitted from this exceptional man-husband- and father. Irreplaceable.

Mark Rathfon was one of the all-time good guys. I was so sorry to hear about his death. The North Clarion Wolves lost a Super Fan! Mark was one of the most enthusiastic and vocal fans at NC basketball games over the years! No matter what the weather was, Mark always had on a pair of his trademark golf shorts! My deepest sympathies are being passed along to Shelia and Ben and all of the extended Rathfon family. My heart aches for you.
