Obituary of Daniel E. Heasley

Daniel E. Heasley of Leeper passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 31, 1955 to the late Daniel S. Heasley and Arlene Gilbert Heasley, who survives. On May 9, 1981 he married the love of his life Diane (Schill) Heasley and she survives. In addition to his wife and mother Dan is survived by two daughters, Crystal Meier and husband Tom of Clarion, and Danielle Heasley of Leeper. Grandchildren Logan and Lauren Meier, and the beloved family dog Koda. Also surviving are his two sisters Diane Mealy and husband Dave of Tionesta, Dixie Sherbine and husband Gene of Leeper, two nephews Scott Mealy and wife Dawn and daughters Ryen and Dylen, Don Sherbine and wife Jaime and daughter Taylor, a great-nephew Seth Mealy, and a special niece Dawn Miller and husband Brad and daughters Gabby and Olivia, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dan worked for Operating Engineers for 25years and for Farmington Township Municipality for 20 years. He was a distinguished lifetime member of the Farmington Township Volunteer Fire Company, and a long-time member of the Farmington Area Ambulance Service, and Masonic Lodge. He was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church in Crown. Dan was proceeded in death by his father, niece Wanda Mealy Huffman, and mother in law, Alice Schill. By Dan's request there will be no viewing. A Christian funeral mass will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Crown, with the Rev. Christopher Barnes, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Dan's name to Farmington Township Volunteer Fire Company P.O.
