Obituary of Mary Anne Buckbee

Mary Anne Buckbee, 83, of Jefferson, OH, and formerly of Tionesta, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Jefferson Health Care, in Jefferson, OH. Born February 7, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Pete and Daisy Moss Herendeen. She married Vernon J. Buckbee on September 25, 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio and he preceded her in death on March 13, 2008. Mary Anne became a housewife after she had her children in 1962. She enjoyed hunting with "Bucky". After her husband died and she moved to Ohio, she enjoyed going to Senior Center, which she called "the club". She was a good artist and liked to draw. Mary Anne is survived by 3 children: Vernon W. Buckbee and his wife, Mary Ann of Coatesville, PA; Mary M. Intorcio and her husband, Ronnie of Kirtland, Ohio and Terry V. Buckbee and his wife, Gail of Colebrook, Ohio. She is also survived by a sister, Marjorie Herendeen of Mentor, Ohio; a granddaughter, Taylor Marie Buckbee and 21 nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Anne was preceded in death by two brothers: Jack Herendeen and Wallace Herendeen. Friends and family may call on Friday, September 2, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 3, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Jonathan Bell, pastor of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Redbrush. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Jefferson Healthcare Activities Fund, 222 E. Beech St., Jefferson, OH 44004.
