Obituary of Maurice C. Wolbert

Maurice C. (Moe) Wolbert, 60, of Canonsburg, PA and formerly of Vowinckel, died Thursday, January 14, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh. Born May 13, 1955, in Clarion, he was the son of the late Claude F. and Grace A. Walter Wolbert.
He married the former Deborah Bohichick-Strack on July 21, 1991 and she survives.
Mr. Wolbert worked at the Marienville Glass Plant, prior to his serving as a machinist mate in the Navy during the Vietnam War, then as a machinist at Washington Tool and Machine in Washington, PA.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Wolbert is survived by two daughters, Stacy Wolbert of Lucinda and Nicole (Chuck) Dailey of Lickingville; two sisters, Claudette (John) Lucas and Rosemary (Michael) Schmitt, both of Frederick, MD; and a brother – in – law, Alan Santee of Washington, PA. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Caleb and Sierrah Dailey and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wolbert was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine (Gerrie) Santee.
Friends and family may call on Sunday, January 17, from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 18, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Crown with Rev. Christopher Barnes, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
