Obituary of Donald L. Judy

Donald L. Judy, 68, of Lucinda, died early Saturday morning, January 11, 2014 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born November 3, 1945, in Brookville, he was the son of the late Roy J. and Helen F. Ginkel Judy. Don was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lucinda. He enjoyed hunting and construction and going to Deb's Restaurant for coffee. Don is survived by two daughters and one son: Andrea R. Lough and her husband, Robert of Daleville, VA; Erica L. Nicewonger and her husband, Timothy of Shippenville and Samuel J. Judy of Lucinda. In addition he is survived by two sisters and 3 brothers: Geraldine (Gerry) Weaver and her husband, Dave of Marble; William Judy and his wife, LaJean of Lucinda; Janet Bodenhorn and her husband, Robert of Shippenville; James Judy and his wife, Constance of Strattanville and Roy Judy and his wife, Lisa of Lucinda. He is survived his 3 grandchildren: Lily and Dane Nicewonger and Brock Lough who were the joys of his life. Don was preceded in death by his parents. Friends and family will be received from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lucinda with Rev. Joseph Czarkowski, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
