I was saddened to hear about Tom as I have always enjoyed visiting with Tom and Barb. They were lovely people and kept me in the loop of what my extended family was doing. I apologize for not coming to the viewing, but my daughter had her gallbladder removed so I could not make it up. I really loved to hear Tom's laughter as he told his stories! He will be missed. Peace be to all of you.

No words can express our deepest sorrow for the loss of such a sweet, kind-hearted man. Tom always had a smile and a joke that brightened our day - even when he wasn't feeling his best. The Vowinckel will never be the same without the sound of his slow shuffling slippers about the bar, the misplaced hearing aids or truck keys! His smile and loving nature made everyone feel welcome. Joe, David, Missy, Mindy and Donna, you are in our hearts and prayers. Dearest Tom... Rest In Peace. We will miss you very much.

Mindy, Missy, David, and Joe.....We will miss your Dad so very much! He always made me feel so loved----he was more like a brother to me than an uncle. I know he is with all his loved ones in heaven, and I can just hear him teasing my Dad about which one of them was the darkest Italian. Uncle Tom was someone who made a "difference" in this world just by being himself! There is always a smile in my heart when I think of him! I love you all!
