Obituary of Joan W. McCloskey

Joan W. McCloskey age 67 of Crown died Saturday evening December 17, 2011 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born January 10, 1944 in Lucinda she was the daughter of the late Albinus and Winifred Schmader Ochs Sr. She was united in marriage July 21, 1990 to John P. McCloskey Jr. and he survives. Mrs. McCloskey was a member of St. Mary's Church in Crown and the Ladies Guild of the Church. She was also a member of Farmington Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Farmington Ambulance Service and was a volunteer for American Cancer Society. Joan enjoyed doing puzzles and spending time with her children and Grandchildren. In addition to her husband she is survived by 2 daughters and one son, Lori Kahle and her husband Carl of Leeper, Marcia Moore and her husband Michael of Santa Barbara California and Andrew Bauer and his wife Marcy of Vowinckel. Also surviving are 3 brothers and 2 sisters, David Ochs and his wife Christine of Sparta Tennessee, Elissa (Elsie) Schwabenbauer and her husband Paul of Leeper, Lucille Griebel and her husband Lawrence of Lucinda, Albinus Ochs Jr. and his wife Janet of Thurmont Maryland and Michael Ochs and his wife Cathy of Ellicottville New York. In addition she is survived by a sister-in-law Elaine Ochs of Lucinda, 5 grandchildren Justin Kahle, Andrea Borland, Nicholas Moore, Rachel Bauer, Rebecca Bauer and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Nelson Ochs. There will be a Mass of Christian burial celebrated 10:00 A.M. Tuesday December 20, 2011 at St. Mary Church in Crown with Rev. Gregory Passauer as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Mary Church or Clarion Forest VNA.
