Obituary of William A. Hause

William A. Hause, Sr., 64, of Marienville, died Sunday afternoon, October 30, 2011, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born July 17, 1947 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Herman G. and Ethel Everly Hause. He married the former Jane Wilson on December 24, 1965 in Carnegie, PA and she survives. Mr. Hause was a crane operator at Shenango Steel at Neville Island and retired in 2000 as a gas technician for Modern Gas Service in Baregat, New Jersey. He was a member of St. Mary Church in Crown. He was also a member of Marienville Veteran's Club, Fryburg Sportsman's Club and the Clarion American Legion. He enjoyed the Steelers, fishing and his pets. In addition to his wife, Jane, Mr. Hause is survived by a son, William A. Hause, Jr. and his wife, JoAnn of Baregat, NJ and a daughter, Brandi L. Hause and her significant other, Ron Yoo of Waretown, N.J. He is also survived by a brother, Herman Hause and his wife, Barbara of Waretown, NJ and a sister, Audrey Laczo and her husband, Dennis of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He is survived by 3 grandchildren, Anthony and Jacqueline Hause and Mackenzie Yoo. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hause was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Madeline Gibbs and Ruth Koetter. Friends may call on Tuesday, November 1 from 2-4 & 6-8 at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church in Crown with Rev. Gregory Passauer, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Tree Trimmer's Rest Cemetery in North Pine Grove. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the SPCA or the Humane Society.
