Obituary of Keith Wilson McCloskey

Keith Wilson McCloskey, 64, of Tylersburg died unexpectedly in his home on Monday, October 17, 2011. Born October 20, 1946, in Brookville, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Gertrude Phillips McCloskey. He would have celebrated his 65th birthday on Thursday.
He married the former Patty Lou Huffman on July 8, 1966 at Leeper Methodist Church and she survives.
Keith served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 - 1972. For most of his working career, he was an owner-operator and known to the trucking world as "Pest". He was proud to have logged his "Millionth Mile Accident-Free" hauling for Crossett, Inc. in Warren. Most recently, he liked to consider himself semi-retired, but was working for Passauer Excavating in West Hickory.
Keith served in various capacities in the Cook Forest Easter Sunrise Committee and was currently serving as President. He also served as trustee for the Tylersburg Cemetery Association for many years. In addition, he participated in the North Clarion Confer-Creel Scholarship committee. Keith was an avid NASCAR fan who enjoyed attending races with the guys and entertaining family and friends in his home, especially for his annual pig roast.
In addition to his wife, Keith is survived by three daughters: Christine Lauer and her husband, Mark of Fryburg; Denise McCloskey of Tylersburg and Jodi Holley and her husband, Jack of Morehead, KY. Keith was a loving husband and father, whose world revolved around his three grandchildren: Jerid and Joshua Kerle of Fryburg and Randi Jo Holley of Morehead, KY. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, at RD, Tionesta, with Rev. Boyd Edmondson, officiating. Interment will follow in the Tylersburg Cemetery.
