Obituary of Joseph S. Hauserman

Joseph S. Hauserman, 61, of Tionesta, died early Friday morning, October 22, 2010 at his home. Born on October 13, 1949 in Ellwood City, PA, he was the son of Dale Edwin and Betty Virginia Maust Hauserman. He married the former Barbara Monper on July 28, 1979, and she survives. Mr. Hauserman served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam where he received a Bronze Star. He owned and operated his own truck and also drove for MHF Trucking, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid motorcyclist. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hauserman is survived by a son, Scott Steigerwald and his wife, Tracy of Cranberry Township, Pa. He is survived by two sisters, Juanita Clemens and her husband, Robert of Cranberry Township, Pa and Debra Swigart of Sligo. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Tanya, Justin, Derrick, Brittany, Chase, Shawn and Christian and 1 great granddaughter, Nevaeh. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hauserman was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly McNish, 3 brothers, Donald, Frank and James Hauserman and 2 sisters, Barbara Fisher and Diane Walters. Friends and family will be received on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 8 at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Weckerly, officiating. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Association.
