Grace C. Schwabenbauer, 85, a resident of 765 Lawn Drive, Lucinda, died peacefully at 4:15 PM Tuesday, August 3, 2010 in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.
Born May 12, 1925 in Lucinda, she was a beloved daughter of the late: Maurice and Philomena Bauer Schmader.
She graduated from St. Joseph High School in Lucinda and had also attended the Welch Business College in Oil City.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Lucinda and the Rosary Altar Society of the church.
She was married to Leo W. on June 16, 1945 in St. Joseph Church in Lucinda by Rev. William Holl. Her husband preceded her in death on December 8, 2009.
Mrs. was retired from Appraisal Associates of Western PA; located in Clarion.
She is survived by two daughters: Connie Guntrum of Shippenville and Mary Lorenzi and her husband Donald of Gainesville, FL; and a sister: Ethel Banner of Marble.
Also surviving are four grandchildren: Lisa Dilley and her husband Scott of Strattanville, Master Sgt. Sean Milligan and his wife Angela of Eglin Air Force Base Florida, Amy Milligan of Orlando, FL and Eric Lorenzi of Daytona Beach, FL; also surviving are five great-grandchildren: Aaron and Joshua Dilley and Jacob, Juliana and Jenna Milligan in addition to many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. was preceded in death by her son-in-law: Wayne Guntrum, a brother: Paul Schmader, a sister:Dorothy Hartle and an infant sister: Mary Louise Schmader.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 & 7-9PM in the Borland Funeral Home, Inc., Leeper. A Christian Wake Service will be held Friday at 3:45 PM in the funeral home.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM Saturday in St. Joseph Church, Lucinda with Rev. William Miller, pastor; as celebrant.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Joseph Church or to the charity of one's choice.
