Obituary of Raymond James Fitzgerald

Raymond James Fitzgerald, 35, of Vowinckel, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010, in a car accident in Cook Forest. Born February 10, 1975 at Brookville, he was the son of Robert (Bob) and M. Dorothy (Dottie) Sherbine Fitzgerald. Mr. Fitzgerald attended North Clarion High School and was employed by DCNR in Cook Forest State Park. He enjoyed spending time with his children and his closest friends and was an enthusiastic outdoorsman and four wheeler rider. Mr. Fitzgerald is survived by a daughter, Hail'ee Fitzgerald and a son, Joe Marett, both of Titusville. He is also survived by 2 sisters and 1 brother, Chris Merryman and her husband, Steve of Shippenville, Rick Fitzgerald and his wife, Sue of Vowinckel and Linda Lisanti and her husband, Jim of Louisville, KY. He is survived by 6 nieces and nephews: Shawn and Scott Lutz, Josh and Katlin Fitzgerald and Austin and Lindsay Lisanti. He is also survived by his very special dog, "Peanut" who saved his life several years ago during a house fire. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends and family may call from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. The family will also receive friends on Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Gregory Passauer, pastor of St. Mary Church in Crown, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
