Obituary of Irene Caswell

Irene S. Caswell, 89, Of Greensboro, NC and formerly of Leeper and Clarion, died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Moses H. Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. Born August 31, 1920 in England, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Mary Alice Anderton Smart. She married Norman Caswell on August 7, 1940 in Rhode Island and he preceded her in death. . Mrs. Caswell worked as a secretary in her family machine shop. She is survived by a son, Steven K. Caswell of Greensboro, NC and 2 grandchildren, Mark Caswell of Putnam, CT and Jennifer Caswell Hager of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Caswell was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Caswell and 2 sons, Norman F. Caswell III and Richard Caswell. A Memorial Service will be held at grave side in the spring in Jamestown, RI. Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper is in charge of arrangements.
