Obituary of Franklin DeWayne Guntrum

Franklin DeWayne Guntrum, 74, of Soap Fat Road, Shippenville, died Monday, March 1, 2010 at Clarion Hospital. Born October 27, 1935 in Rimersburg, he was the son of Charles W. & Florence Smith Guntrum. He was united in marriage Jan. 19, 1968 to the former Connie S. Schwabenbauer and she survives. Mr. Guntrum served with the U.S. Army. He retired in 1989 from Commodore Homes. He enjoyed his horses and cooking. In addition to his wife he is survived by the 5 children; Lisa Michelle Dilley and her husband, Scott of Strattanville, Denny Guntrum of Oil City, Kevin Guntrum and his wife, Roberta of Oil City, Dana Guntrum of Oil City and Mary Orner and her husband Shawn of Oil City. He is also survived by a sister, Pauline Trayer of Rimersburg. He is survived by 16 grandchildren; Aaron and Joshua Dilley, Joseph, Jessica, Charles, Julia and Carrie Myers, Crystal Guntrum, Sue and Jhon Bradibau, Amanda, Micaleb and Lacey Guntrum, Abby Scott, Jasamine Wann and Allyssa Peak; 2 Step-grandchildren, Dalton and Shawna Orner and 3 great-grandchildren Skylar Conner, Michele Conner and Hailey Conner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Darlene Wilson, a sister Betty Ramsey and a brother Charles Guntrum. Friends and family may call from 2-4 and 7-9 on Thursday March 4, 2010 at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda with Rev. William C. Miller, pastor of the church, as Celebrant.
