Obituary of Alice Louise Bauer

Alice Louise Bauer, 91, of Leeper, died Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Shippenville. Born April 26, 1918, in Scotch Hill, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Edith Kempf Flick. She was married to Henry Bauer on April 21, 1937 at St. Mary Church in Crown and he preceded her in death on September 25, 1994. Alice was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her friends. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Crown. Surviving are four sons and one daughter; Ron Bauer and his wife Violet of Dover, Delaware, Willie Bauer of Leeper, Hank Bauer and his wife, Heidi of Leeper, Randy Bauer of Fryburg and Linda Hagerty and her husband, Jim of Franklin. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bauer was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and William Flick and three sisters, Clara Belle Keverline, Melda Callahan and Loretta Minor. Friends and family may call from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 on Tuesday, February 9, at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church in Crown with Rev. Gregory Passauer, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery. The family suggests donations be made to Aseracare Hospice, 231 Allegheny Avenue, Brookville, PA 15825
